Not a big fan of ramen normally, but I liked the different and non traditional combinations here. Also their cocktails were a hit if you haven't tried them before!
We both got the Spicy Meatballs Ramen (which is the chef's special for October & November 2019) and it was delicious. I also added a spiced egg which went well with the flavours. The spiciness level was just on point - not too much, not too mild so go for it if you like a little kick. There were only 3 meatballs in the ramen, felt maybe 4 will be more balanced. The balance of noodle and broth was good though, we finished everything together. The broth was very flavourful as well and the ginger on the side was a good refreshing addition. In the end we were pretty full. We also ordered the crispy chickpeas they were addictively delicious.
Oh and the cocktails - these were a hit! I got the plum wine on the rocks (never tried it before a sweet wine less sweet than ice wine but more fruity) and the lychee tini was delicious as well.
They have elegant halloween decorations too! -

So this is my 2nd time here, and I still enjoy the food & the service they provide. It's definitely a busy place, but everyone is friendly. Once you enter, the whole staff greets & welcomes you "Moshi moshi!".
I chose the Cha Cha Cha (for garlic lovers). It's a savoury kind of ramen that's made of pork & fish broth. It includes pork chasu, seasoned egg, bean sprouts, chopped onion, green onion, chilli powder & fresh garlic cloves on the side with a garlic press. The noodles for this ramen is only the thick type, unfortunately you cannot substitute it. I definitely enjoyed this ramen because it was so flavourful; from the broth to the chasu. The chasu was definitely different from other ramen places; as if it was cooked/marinated separately or something...it was just more flavourful!
Now because I was sweating from the ramen, I decided to get the mochi ice cream. It was 2 mochis sliced in half & filled with ice cream.. matcha flavored I think is the only flavor. It was definitely a quick fix to dessert! It wasn't too sweet, which I liked.
And again, as you leave, despite how busy everyone one is, they thank you as you leave "Aragato!!" -

JINYA chicken ramen
Review: My friends and I went to the climate strike so we stopped by here to eat after. Uhhh... I ordered this ramen cuz I'm broke and I'm on a budget ;-; moving on from thatttt - I don't even know where to start. This ramen. BRUH. It's so FRIGGIN GOOD OKAY. The broth was flavourful, deep and rich. It had this earthy fresh chicken taste and it was smooth and in a way creamy. The noodles had a really good bite, texture and thickness which carried the flavour of the broth very well. The chicken was tender and "soft?". It was easy to bite into and the meat soaked up a lot of the delicious broth flavour The ramen came with spinach, thinly sliced green onions and fried garlic. They accompanied the ramen very well and it was just a very happy, cohesive combination. It was so good I ate everything and drank all the soup (hehe swipe twice to see) Like fr imma get married to such a 靚仔 husband, I eat so clean

I usually like the ceremonial shouting welcome when I go to Japanese places but lately it feels more like a forced earls like So what are you guys doing later when the bill comes...inauthentic it seems...so after that shouting bit I really liked the menu although the font on the menu required me to pull out my iPhone magnifying app..3 point size like really? On to the food...great taste although I always wish you would get more then 2 skinny meat slices in my ramen it just feels like I'm eating a broth from 7/11 with cool music...so I guess Add Meat is a goto..but at $17 a bowl I'd expect more...overall good Asian service with a smile.

They were busy when we got there around lunchtime but we were able to get patio seating right away. Really convenient when you have a dog with you
My date had a bun and ramen and I had the spicy ramen. He really enjoyed the bun, I enjoyed my ramen, a little salty but ramen usually is. It wasn't until I was halfway done eating I noticed I had no egg in mine... it took a while to flag our server down and it was a little weird to ask for the egg after you've eaten a lot of it; will they think you ate it and are asking for another one? lol but I have the before photo to prove it!
But they brought out an egg soon after and all was good. I just docked stars because,,, had I not noticed I would have never had my egg and still been charged the same and also I feel like they are a bit short staffed, it took a while to flag a waiter
Love how your dog can be by the patio while they wait for u to finish your meal :)
